Parents with Patience started as a LinkedIn group in 2008 and quickly became one of LinkedIn’s largest groups dedicated exclusively to parents of children with autism spectrum disorders. We currently have more than 600 registered members. If you are a member of LinkedIn, please check the Parents with Patience LinkedIn Group.
This website builds on that group, offering all parents (not just LinkedIn members) an opportunity to connect with other parents. Our group provides empathetic, peer-to-peer support to help parents to cope and help our children thrive.
We’re not educators and experts, just parents helping parents with “been there, done that” advice that’s friendly, proven and non-judgmental. Membership is limited to parents (or caregivers) of people on the autism spectrum. Please tell us about your connection when applying for membership.
Because we also share this bond, and because we started as a LinkedIn Group, we actively encourage business and networking contacts within the group. If have to buy something, shop here first. Please give preference for a fellow Parent with Patience such as yourself. Ditto if you have a job opening of any kind, please post it in the “Jobs” section of our group directory.
